Intro to CAPS Coding & Robotics Part 1

In July we covered the new National Curriculum Statement for the Foundation Phase (Grades R-3). During the session our panel of experts discussed the CAPS Coding and Robotics Curriculum’s impact on teachers. The discussion highlighted core of CAPS Coding and Robotics as computational thinking. This involves teaching children skills like design thinking and problem-solving. A big thank you to our panellists, Ashric Don (DCES: Coding and Robotics, WCED), Lulu Burger (Digital Learning Coach, St Stithians Boy’s College) and Jacqui Fouche (Curriculum Head, Code4Kids).
